Should have read the comments here before participating, but had a similar experience as the rest of the people here. It appears their all winners are fabricated. Try to search for any people who had the experience with their advertised contests, twitter, reddit...

It seems to me were ever the house is the people who win lives in the same county so fixed win

When you see people win they all seem to come from around that county so I think this is fixed so I will not enter again unless house is in Wiltshire

Entered £10 they took £20 - greedy, sneaky company

Entered £10 they took £20 from my account - greedy, sneaky company who are only interested in profit whilst manipulating customers through emotive marketing.

User's recommendation: Don’t enter their draws - donate to charity instead.

Scam. Stay away use fake winners

This is a scam, shouldn't be allowed to use the rspca logo.. Stay away from this terrible Co.. Trying to catch people by putting fake winners up, should be removed from the TV and magazines.

Surprise Surprise

Wow its a con!? Would never have guessed, can't imagine this being anything but, too many gullible, greedy fools out there, the words carrot and donkey spring to mind. Just put a nice photo of a beautiful house in that will fire up desire and the mugs will flow with their credit cards to enter. Meanwhile the scammer empty their accounts and fly to Hawai

Confused regarding authenticity of competition

I entered the competition relating to the 3million pound house overlooking Lake Windermere as it was stated the Competition was ending that week end and low and behold you are now re promoting the same house in a fresh competition? Surely the house should have been Won after the deadline not that long ago and here you are promoting the same house in your latest competition. How can this be so, surely theres not a estate overlooking Windermere with identical 3million pound homes. Or am I detecting somewhat of a deception as I have passed my monies over on the previous competition and rather suspicious of the new promotion.

Yes, a disappointing con at a time when we could all do with a little touch of happiness but I guess we would need to be called Omaze !!

#2140191

The house is in. Draw over several months - when it’s advertised you can also go into a draw for a car or can too which are the monthly prizes. If you look at t&cs it clearly says that the Lake District house draw will close end of March

Definitely a scam

The winners pictures are fabricated!!! They are using faces of people which were used on other websites as winners of different draws or competitions. This is unthinkable that this company still exist and is still scamming people.

User's recommendation: Don’t trust them.

Prove the haters wrong

I have every faith that i will win a big prize and prove the haters wrong that this is genuine, just because you don't win doesn't mean its a scam, people don't always win on the lotto or bingo but that doesnt mean its a scam.

User's recommendation: I'll share my successful win story with you.

As per the old saying : If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

#2132378

I agree that it's a lottery, however, Omaze has advertised the exact same house 3 times now despite the fact the property should have been won in the 2 previous lottery draws. They're on TV now advertising a house in the Lake District for the 2nd time. I'm not saying it's a con but it's a con.

Some have the option to take the cash instead...I'm assuming they maybe put the house back in the game..not sure how that works..

Pros
  • Idea is good
  • Idea of winning
Cons
  • Odds of winning

This has got to be a really sophisticated rip off. Family and friend and contacts win. I’ve looked at the numbers of latest one / all so close.

Going to get into authorities to look at this. Cover yourselves with enormous charities but lets look at who actually wins - if anyone!!

User's recommendation: Watch out - really not at all sure this legit.

No confirmation email

I have spent quite a bit of money on this, dreaming of winning and happy to have donated to charity, however despite the quote stating I would receive an email following the transactions, I have never received any. So it makes me doubt the legitimacy of Omaze and has put me off giving them any more money.

User's recommendation: You won’t get any confirmation that you have entered so will never know where your payment has gone.

Payment

I was trying to make a payment of $25 for the Austin house, but it kept saying it was the wrong zip code for the billing address and wouldn't go through. I checked my bank account and I have a pending $25 from omaze but no verification that I got my entries on the house for my payment.
